Fitzdares App Review: Features and How to Download
Fitzdares is a London bookmaker founded in 2006 by Balthazar Fabricius, and it has always pitched itself at the upmarket end of betting – in 2020 it even opened a private members’ club in Mayfair. It’s licensed by the UK Gambling Commission (Fitzdares Limited, account 400), and its app, Fitzdares: Premium Betting, is aimed at racing fans and bigger stakers who like dealing with people rather than a faceless platform. Here’s what the app offers, what we could and couldn’t confirm, and how it compares.

Pros and cons
What I like
- Live chat with a broking team for prices on big events, according to the App Store listing
- Cash out, accas, Lucky 15s, specials and ante-post betting
- Visa withdrawals typically processed the same day, Fitzdares says
- Apple Pay, Visa and Mastercard accepted
- Long-established London bookmaker, licensed by the UK Gambling Commission
What could be better
- Only 3.6 on the UK App Store, from just 86 ratings
- No welcome offer for new customers at the moment
- Mastercard withdrawals can take up to 48 hours
- Only Apple Pay, Visa and Mastercard are listed – no PayPal or e-wallets mentioned
- Bet builder, streaming and minimum deposit details aren’t on any official page we could find
Using the app
The Fitzdares app covers horse racing, football, tennis, rugby, cricket, golf, American football and more, with in-play betting and live odds. Alongside the usual singles and accas you can place Lucky 15s, specials and ante-post bets, and there’s a casino section with games from studios including Evolution and Pragmatic.
What sets Fitzdares apart is the personal touch. Its App Store listing says you can live chat with its broking team to ask for prices on major events such as the Cheltenham Festival, the Premier League, Wimbledon and the Super Bowl. That suits punters who want a price on something bigger or more unusual than the standard markets.
Cash out is available, according to Fitzdares’ App Store listing. We couldn’t find an official page on partial or auto cash out, so check in the app. Our cash out guide explains how it works.
The app holds 3.6 from 86 ratings on the UK App Store (checked 22 October 2026). That’s a small sample, and the reviews shown range from praise for the design, speed and live chat to complaints about withdrawals, registration and customer service – several of them are a few years old, so they may not reflect the current version. The Android app is newer to Google Play – it had 100+ downloads and no rating yet when we checked.
Fitzdares doesn’t currently run a welcome offer for new customers, so there are no sign-up free bets to claim. If a sign-up offer matters to you, our offers page lists the deals we’ve checked, and our guide to how sign-up offers work explains what to look for in the terms.
Live streaming
Fitzdares’ App Store listing doesn’t mention live streaming, and we couldn’t find an official help page on it. Comparison sites say it streams UK and Irish horse racing (plus some international meetings) to logged-in customers, but we haven’t been able to confirm the conditions, so check in the app before you rely on it.
Deposits and withdrawals
Fitzdares’ App Store listing names Apple Pay, Mastercard and Visa. It says Visa withdrawals are typically processed the same day, while Mastercard withdrawals can take up to 48 hours. We couldn’t find an official page with minimum deposit or withdrawal amounts, so check the cashier in the app. Our deposits and withdrawals guide explains what to expect, including ID checks.

Fitzdares vs William Hill
| Fitzdares | William Hill | |
|---|---|---|
| App Store rating | 3.6 (86) | 4.7 (200K) |
| Google Play rating | No rating yet (100+ downloads) | 4.3 (32.8K) |
| Welcome offer | None at the moment | Deposit £10+, bet £10 at evens or bigger, get 4 × £10 Bet Builder free bets (code FB40) |
| Cash out | Yes (partial/auto: check in app) | Full cash out (William Hill says partial isn’t available yet on its new app) |
| Bet builder | Check in app | Bet Builder Hub |
| Extras | Live chat with a broking team for prices (App Store listing) | Acca Boost, Best Odds Guaranteed on UK & Irish racing |
| Live streaming | Check in app | WHTV – positive balance or a bet in the last 24 hours; racing needs a £1+ bet |
| Minimum deposit | Check in app | £5 |
William Hill is a far bigger operation, with a much larger following on both app stores, a confirmed £40 Bet Builder welcome offer and clear streaming rules. Fitzdares is a different kind of bookmaker: smaller, racing-led and built around personal service, including live chat with its broking team. If you want a big, well-rated app with plenty of promotions, William Hill is the easier choice; if you’d rather deal with a boutique firm, Fitzdares is worth a look – just don’t expect a sign-up bonus.
My verdict
Fitzdares isn’t trying to be one of the giants. It’s a long-established London bookmaker with a premium feel, and its live chat with a broking team, ante-post and Lucky 15 betting, and same-day Visa withdrawals (according to Fitzdares) will appeal to racing fans and bigger stakers. The downsides are a modest 3.6 App Store rating from only 86 ratings, no welcome offer for new customers at the moment, and how little official detail we could find on streaming and minimum deposit. If a more personal service appeals, download it and set your deposit limits before you start. As always, only bet what you can afford to lose.
18+ only. Betting should be fun, not a way to make money. Set a deposit limit, never chase losses, and if it stops being fun, get free, confidential support from BeGambleAware or the National Gambling Helpline on 0808 8020 133.
